Nicoletta Ash’s best friend is my OC Ivy, and her older sister is my character Nydia-Mae. She is not currently a tribute, but more of a side character, like Sparrow. But I may possibly make her a tribute in the future.

Nicoletta and her siblings lived a normal life in district twelve. Though that all went south when her parents perished in a house fire when Nicoletta was six. For a while, she and her brother and sister lived on the street. When her brother found a house in the seam, they were overjoyed to finally have somewhere to stay. This unfortunately meant their brother (Nathaniel) had to drop out of school to help Nicoletta and her sister Nydia-Mae. They managed like this for a while. When Nathaniel married into an upper class family, their life changed. They became part of the upper class part of district 12. After Nathaniel’s daughter Natalia was born, Nathaniel’s wife passed away. After that, his Nathaniel’s wife’s parents cut contact, and the Ash family had to go back to the seam. Shortly after Nicoletta turned twelve, Nathaniel had been diagnosed with leukaemia. Nydia-Mae began to become the main provider for the Ash family. She also took care of Natalia, worked an extra shift at the mine and took tesserae to support their family. Nicoletta’s friend Ivy had also offered to help through tesserae. When Ivy was reaped two years later, the Ash’s feared for the worst. When Ivy passed, Nicoletta was close to ending her own life, as she felt responsible for Ivy’s death. When Nicoletta was about to jump down an abandoned mine shaft, Nydia-Mae ran to her talked her out of it. The next year, Nydia Mae was reaped. Nicoletta told herself that this time she couldn’t let anyone else die. Not again.
